Sherry Conroy

This is Scheizie (pronounced Shy-Zee). She is 13 years old. She has been a part of our family since she was 3 months old. She has been having trouble going down stairs, jumping up on the couch, and getting in and out of the car. I talked to one of the Vet Techs at Carroll County Veterinary Clinic about laser treatments. She is on Dermamaxx= but I didn’t want her to be on it long term if we could help her in another way. I opted to try the laser treatments. This video is her 3rd treatment out of the original 6. You only pay for the 6 treatments if it helps. On the day of Scheizie’s 1st treatment, I had to lift her out of the car because she couldn’t jump down. I couldn’t even get her to jump on the floorboard first to get out of the car. She is 64 pounds so she is not exactly light! Afterwards we were sitting in the waiting room for our invoice to be processed (I also had one of my cats in there that day and Scheizie also had an ear infection treated). All of a sudden, Scheizie jumped up in one of the chairs and sat down and looked out the window, which she loves to do. I was pretty impressed. I was even more impressed when she jumped DOWN out of the chair when it was time to go. She was walking better after 1 treatment. She also jumped UP into the car to leave the clinic and down out of it once we got home. I have seen a remarked improvement in her walk and in her energy level. She doesn’t seem to have as much difficulty going up and down stairs or jumping up on the couch. If you’ve been on the fence about the laser treatments for your pet, I highly recommend trying it.
